The climate/gallery staff is constantly working to assess the professional needs of the artists it shows in the terms of our mission. More information regarding our mission can be found under the About section of this website.

Representation
climate/gallery stands out in New York City’s community of galleries because it invites all artists at every level of show experience, media expertise, and aesthetic identification to participate in various show opportunities at a variety of levels beginning with its monthly group shows.

We believe that by showing regularly an artist benefits in many ways. Some of these benefits can be immediate and direct such as the encouragement an artist may find for their work and their aesthetic direction from peers and the gallery’s patrons. Other benefits occur over the long term, such as those created by consistent exposure to an audience that creates a reputation that can lead to sales and further opportunities.

Featured Artists curated from monthly exhibitions may be chosen for climate/gallery representation. Artists who show us artwork with high degrees of aesthetic identification consistently over time may also be invited for representation.

The Flat File Inventory
climate/gallery representation begins when an artist accepts the gallery’s invitation to place works on paper in the Flat File Inventory. As a relationship between the artist and the gallery develops, other opportunities may arise, such as offers to participate in group shows separate from the monthly Open Call shows.

The gallery exercises a promotional program on behalf of these artists, with all of the usual terms and conditions found in any traditional gallery relationship.
